David Burchfield & the Fire Guild
David Burchfield is a singer-songwriter based in Denver, CO. Inspired by the American songbook from Woody Guthrie to Jeff Tweedy to Jason Isbell, Burchfield weaves together a rich texture of influences to create a folk sound that sounds simultaneously fresh and deeply rooted. The Deli KC called Perseids "a ten-track cornucopia of gentle, rustic charm and swirling, harmonic grace...To label the album as “Americana” is far too broad a brushstroke; Perseids is 33 minutes of comfort food for the ears and the soul."

David began playing tambourine in the church band alongside his father at the age of 5, and his love for making music only grew from there. Writing and performing songs in his boyhood home of Kansas City, Burchfield built a steady following of ardent fans of his unique blend of Americana influences. Burchfield has played the Middle of the Map Fest, was featured in the Chevy Music Showcase, and has shared bills with Noah Gundersen, David Ramirez, and Joe Pug.

Now living in Colorado, Burchfield is emerging from a long hiatus - writing and recording a new batch of songs, playing shows in Colorado, and ramping up for a summer 2017 tour. Sign up for the mailing list for updates or use the contact page to book a full band or solo performance.
