This event is 21 and over

This is not your typical networking event! FuckUp Nights is a global movement born in Mexico City in 2012. The movement made its way to Denver in 2016 and is now a bi-monthly must-see in the Denver community. Each FUN Denver includes three local entrepreneurs sharing a story about their biggest failure (fuck up!) in life and/or business. The catch is, they only have 10 slides and 7 minutes to share the entire experience, because let’s face it, that’s all we have time for these days. Expect lots of laughs, some happy tears and plenty of time to visit, imbibe and ask questions after the stories. As always, the first beer is on the house.

The Beer Necessities is the result of a rather lofty dream that began with a simple question: is it possible to create a platform that celebrates beer, helps to unify the industry, and appeals to everyone from new beer lovers to even the most discerning of beer nerds?

Some may say this is an impossible task, but we refuse to be deterred. We believe that the heart behind our creation will ring true. If it weren’t a challenge; if there weren’t risk involved; if we weren’t pushing the envelope -- then it wouldn’t be worth creating in the first place.

Who’s behind this glorious site? TBN was built on the mission, vision, and values of The High End, a division of Anheuser-Busch. Can we do it alone? We wouldn’t want to! There’s tons of great beer out there. Some of it’s ours, and some of it’s not. We’d like to celebrate all of it. As an industry, it’s more important than ever to elevate beer, and as beer enthusiasts, we wouldn’t be painting the full picture unless we highlight the heart and creativity of the many breweries that we admire who continuously challenge us to be our very best.

So we’ve begun building a beer positive site that draws from a brain trust of brilliant, passionate people throughout the beer industry. Everyday we try to make more friends, gain new perspectives, and inch a bit closer to our goal.

If you drink beer, talk about beer, make beer, love beer, like beer, haven’t heard of beer, or are even a wine drinker...you are welcome here.

After all, beer is many things to many people: an age old tradition, a celebration, a thirst quencher, a source of hometown pride. And whether you’re a veteran hop-head, or starting your journey with more traditional styles, you’re sure to find something of interest on our ever-growing pages.

This will be a meeting ground for sharing, information, lifestyle, and, of course, beer. It’s a platform we hope to use to unite an incredible industry while catering to all levels of beer drinkers and enthusiasts.

By us, for everyone!

Sincerely,

Jonathan Hack

Hi there. My name's kiwi.

When I was little I secretly wanted to be a stand-up comedian, but it turns out you need to go in front of people and try to make them laugh and that scared the hell out of me.

So I started making things instead. And now I use hand lettering to make cards and mugs and other things to make people giggle.
